Questions

Get answers about therapy, scheduling, and how we can help you heal.

How do I start?

Contact us through our website or call to speak with someone about your needs. We'll match you with a therapist who understands your situation and can begin your journey toward healing.

Is there a waitlist?

Most of our services have no waitlist. While we offer a real-time ticker on our website, the average wait for most services is less than one week. The only service that has a substantial waitlist is therapy. Depending on your availability and whether you want in-person or virtual appointments, wait times can vary from 4-12 weeks.

What if I'm in crisis?

We maintain emergency resources for moments when you need immediate support. Visit our emergency resources page or call 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline available 24/7.

Do you offer evening appointments?

Yes. Our therapists understand that life happens outside business hours. We accommodate early mornings, evenings, and schedules that work for your reality.

Can family members attend sessions?

Absolutely. Family therapy brings everyone together when healing requires it. We work with couples, parents and children, and adult siblings to strengthen bonds and resolve what divides you.

What about insurance and costs?

We accept most insurance plans and offer self-pay options. Our good faith estimate page shows transparent pricing, and our patient portal helps you manage billing and appointments in one place.

Why do you require a credit card or file?

We require a credit card if you have commercial insurance, medicare, or are self-pay. We automatically charge copays, deductibles, and late or no-show fees. For more information, call our billing department directly at 505-595-6033

If my provider is not a good fit, may I request another?

Absolutely. We believe progress can only be made in relationship. If your initial provider is not a good fit, just send an email to our Executive Director, Brandy Castillo, with the reason for the request and a change and she will assist brandy@heartsoulnm.com
